Covid-19 Protocols at Calgary Optometry Centre

At Calgary Optometry Centre, we follow all protocols and public health guidelines as laid out by Alberta Health Services.

The safety of our patients and staff is our number one concern, and we continue to take every precaution to ensure a safe environment inside our offices. Please adhere to the following protocols:

  • Every patient entering our offices will need to wear a face mask or cover. Please plan to provide your own.
  • The patient should come to the office alone unless needing assistance from a guardian or caregiver. Please no additional family members.
  • For all patients with scheduled examinations or seeking other services, please call the office when you arrive and wait in your vehicle or at the door until given permission to enter. One of our staff will open the door for you.
  • Upon entering, you will be asked a series of screening questions. If you have recently travelled, are demonstrating flu-like symptoms, or have been in contact with a COVID-19 positive individual, you will not be allowed access to the office.
  • Upon entry to the office, each patient will immediately be asked to wash their hands or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • Despite all of these extra precautions, Calgary Optometry Centre remains committed to its patients. We’re here to give you the very best eye care experience.

Please note that our protocols may shift as Alberta’s restrictions change. If you have any questions, please give us a call. We look forward to seeing all of you as soon as possible.
