Recall of Complete All-In-One MoisturePlus Contact Lens Solution

Calgary Optometry Centre would like to advise its contact lens wearing patients of the above -solution recall. This is a voluntary recall by the manufacturer due to reports of increased risk of eye infection which could lead to severe eye pain and possible vision loss if not treated.

If this product recall affects you, please follow the directions below:

Immediately discontinue use of Complete All-In-One MoisturePlus solution.
If the Complete All-In-One MoisturePlus solution was purchased at one of our offices, please return any opened or unopened bottles for full exchange to another recommended solution.
If the Complete All-In-One MoisturePlus was purchased at another retailer, contact them for their return or exchange policy.
Our doctors are recommending patients switch to Alcon Optifree Express solution.
Set aside and clearly label your current pair of contact lenses if they have been soaked in Complete All-In-One MoisturePlus solution; to date, the manufacturer has not announced any plans for reimbursement/replacement of affected contact lenses.
Start a new pair of contact lenses with your new solution.
